Ingredients

1/4 cup (60 mL)
UNCLE BEN'S CONVERTED BRAND RICE
1/4 cup (60 mL)
orange juice
2 tbsp (30 mL)
brown sugar
4 tsp (20 mL)
minced ginger, divided
1 tbsp (15 mL)
canola oil
1 tsp (5 mL)
five-spice powder

boneless and skinless chicken breasts
1 cup (250 mL)

2 tbsp (30 mL)
finely chopped fresh cilantro

Directions

  1. Cook rice according to package directions with butter, salt and remaining ginger.
  2. Stir soy sauce with orange juice, brown sugar, 2 tsp (10 mL) of ginger, oil and five spice until combined. Toss in chicken until coated. Marinate for 10 minutes.
  3. Grease grate well and preheat grill to medium; Grill chicken for 5 to 7 minutes per side or until cooked through and well-marked.
  4. Serve chicken with rice. Stir in cilantro.
